Daughtry - Feels Like Tonight

"Feels Like Tonight" is the fourth main single (sixth overall) from Daughtry's debut album. The song is a power ballad in the vein of the band's previous hit, "Home". The official release date for the track in the U.S. was January 8, 2008.
The music video was shot under Director Martin Weisz. The video debuted Monday, January 14, 2008 on Amazon.com.
The video begins with the band playing in a barren desert in the daytime. When the first chorus starts, clouds are shown racing by and it suddenly changes to nighttime. After the end of the chorus the clouds clear and it is daytime again, however the band is now playing in a forest setting. When the chorus starts for the second time, it again becomes night and Chris is shown walking out of the forest through a door. When he emerges the band is waiting for him on a city rooftop, it being daytime. Upon the third and final chorus, it once again becomes night and the band is shown playing on the rooftop with the lit up skyscrapers of the city behind them.
The video debuted at #14 on VH1's VSpot Top 20 Countdown, and the following week became the band's fourth consecutive video to reach #1 on the countdown. It had spent six consecutive weeks at #1. On March 15, it was dethroned by Rihanna's video for "Don't Stop the Music". It went back to #1 the following only to be dethroned by Leona Lewis's video for "Bleeding Love". Once again it went back to #1 the following week. On May 10, the video was dethroned, once again, by OneRepublic's video for "Stop and Stare".
The song was used for WWE's annual Tribute to the Troops in 2007.
It was originally planned to be the end credits song to National Treasure: Book of Secrets but was cut at the last minute.
The instrumental version of the song is also played in the commercials for the film Charlie Wilson's War.
The song was also featured on the January 28, 2008 episode of the seventh season of American Idol.
The song was featured in promotional commercials in Spring 2009 for ABC soap operas One Life to LiveGeneral Hospital. and
n its first week of release, it was the most added track at both Mainstream Top 40 and Hot AC radio. The following week it debuted at #89 on the Hot 100, and peaked at #24, giving the band their fourth top forty Hot 100 hit from the album. It debuted on the Billboard Pop 100 at #99, peaking at #17, and the Adult Top 40 at #29, where it has reached #1, becoming the band's third number one and fourth top five hit on that chart. This made Daughtry the first band to have four top five hits on the Adult Top 40 from their debut album. [3] On the Hot Adult Contemporary Chart, the song reached number five, giving the band their second top ten on the chart. It debuted on the Canadian Hot 100 at #67, peaking at #30.

Daughtry - Over You

"Over You" is the third main single (the fourth overall) from Daughtry's first album, Daughtry. It was first announced by Chris Daughtry at Summerfest 2007. The song was originally rumored to be the second single having been voted the fans' choice for second single on a poll on the band's site, where it has continuously received the most votes for favorite song from the album.
It won an award at the BMI Awards on May 19, 2009.

In a radio interview, Chris Daughtry said the song is a breakup song about the difficulties of getting over someone, until one day you finally do ("The day I thought I'd never get through, I got over you"). Chris' quote on the meaning of "Over You":
You're with somebody for a really long time, and you pretty much think that this is the person you're gonna spend the rest of your life with, and then they drop the ball on you. Then you think it's over, your life is done, and then somebody better walks in.

The video for the song was shot with director P.R. Brown in Los Angeles on July 17 and July 18. The video was supposed to be premiered on Yahoo! on August 16, but was removed from the site's upcoming video premieres list. It later returned for a short time on the list to be released on August 27, but it was again removed, and was not released schedule. Chris revealed in an interview that the video was delayed because the band was unsatisfied with certain elements of it, and the video was still in the editing phase. He went on to state that they wanted to make sure the they were happy with the video before its release.
The video was premiered on September 20, on VH1.com. The video is about a girl named Sarah (scene name only), played by Jessica Szohr, who is struggling with alcoholism. She is seen at the beginning of the video with her boyfriend at a party, becoming drunk, while her boyfriend watches on in dismay. After the party, they end up in a car crash caused by her alcohol problems. Following the accident, Sarah is seen grief-stricken and depressed over what she has caused, and cannot seem to get over her alcoholism. The video ends with Sarah coming to grips with her problem and seeking help by going to Alcoholics Anonymous. The band is shown playing in a broken down house throughout the video.
The video entered VH1's VSpot Top 20 Countdown at #10 , and reached #1 the following week, becoming the band's third consecutive #1 video on the countdown. It held the #1 position for 8 non-consecutive weeks, and became the band's second video to retire, after 20 weeks on the countdown.
The single was released to Top 40 radio on July 24. It quickly began receiving heavy airplay from many stations, including New York's Z100. It entered the Billboard Hot 100 at #94, and peaked at #18, becoming the band's third top twenty hit on the chart. It is also their third top twenty hit in Canada, and their third top forty hit in New Zealand. On the U.S. Adult Top 40, it is the band's third top three hit. It has so far sold 1,315,000 in digital downloads.

Daughtry - No Suprise

"No Surprise" is the first single from Daughtry's second album Leave This Town. The band first performed the song live on American Idol on Wednesday, May 6, 2009. Chris Daughtry wrote this song with Chad Kroeger from Nickelback, along with Eric Dill and Rune Westberg.
The band began streaming "No Surprise", on their official website, on the evening of May 6, 2009. The song was made available on iTunes May 5, and was officially sent for adds at Mainstream Top 40 radio on May 26, 2009.
The album version features an extra verse towards the end, "The kiss goodnight, it comes with me/Both wrong and right, our memories/The whispering before we sleep/Just one more thing that you can't keep".

"No Surprise" debuted at #15 on the Billboard Hot 100 the chart week of May 23, 2009. It is the band's highest debut to date on the chart, fueled by strong first week digital sales of 106,000. It is also the band's fifth top twenty hit on the Hot 100, and their highest charting song since "Home". In addition, it debuted at #39 on the Adult Top 40 chart with less than a week of airplay. For the week of August 27, the song hit number-one, becoming the band's fourth number-one single on the Adult Top 40. Only Nickelback has more number ones with five.
On the Canadian Hot 100, "No Surprise" debuted at #13, also making it their fifth top twenty hit there. In the Oceania, it has reached #24 in New Zealand and #34 in Australia.
The video begins with a guy trying to sign up for a mining job, but fails. Meanwhile a girl works at a diner and accidentally spills soda on a female customer when a guy behind accidentally bumps into her. Her boss starts yelling at her and fires her; she can then be seen walking out of the diner and throwing her apron to the ground.
The next camera shot is at the couple's home, their neighbor is leaving for a musical gig. Both argue about their foreclosure of their home. The final segment begins the next morning when the man wakes up and leaves. The girl wakes up and is unable to find him. The video concludes with the girl looking around town (alternating shots between the band and her running through town and bumping into a guy) then, finally, sitting down on the ground, leaning against a big rock wondering what will happen next and the camera pans out and the viewer can see that the couple are sitting on opposite sides of the large boulder, while in the video Chris and his band performs at the mining area. The video was directed by Nathan Cox.
